WHAT IS GUM DISEASE

Gum disease is a common condition that affects the tissues around your teeth. It causes swelling and redness of your gums, and sometimes pain. Left untreated , it can damage the bone and ligaments that hold your teeth in place.

GINGIVITIS SYMPTOMS
Early signs of gingivitis
-bleeding gums when you brush 
-red or swollen gums

GINGIVITIS LEFT UNTREATED CAN DEVELOP INTO PERIODONTITIS 

PERIODONTITIS SYMPTOMS
-bad breath
-a bad taste in your mouth
-receding gums
-loose teeth
-abscess
-teeth sensitivity

WHAT IS A TOOTH ABSCESS?

A tooth abscess is generally the result of an untreated cavity.
Your dentist will need to drain the abscess to get the infection out.
Your dentist may prescribe antibiotics
You may need a root canal treatment in order to save the tooth.

TOOTH ABSCESS SYMPTOMS
Signs and symptoms of a tooth abscess include:
-severe , persistent throbbing toothache
-swelling of your face
-fever
-difficulty chewing
-sensitivity
-bad taste in your mouth
-tender lymph nodes (neck)
***You must never leave a tooth abscess untreated . This can lead to serious, even life threatening complications ***
