TIPS FOR YOUR TODDLERS ORAL HEALTH
 
  • Limit child's sugar intake in foods and drinks
  • Choose water or milk
  • Dilute fruit juices with water
  • A balanced diet, lots of fruits and vegetables
  • Choose sugar free snacks
  • Avoid putting children to bed with juice - this keeps sugar sitting on child's teeth
  • Start child on proper oral hygiene routine
  • Good time to start dental visits
  • Calcium and vitamin D
  • Dairy products - cheese, yogurt are good sources of calcium
  • Eggs are a good source of vitamin D
 
Remember toddlers watch and learn from you. Brush your teeth together. Great opportunity for teaching good oral hygiene.
