Oral Health Symptoms and Google

We have all done this . We have a pain or maybe just a symptom that we feel is not right or worrisome.

We immediately turn to the internet , to find out what’s happening .

The problem:
Can the site you choose be trusted?
Is the information specifically designed to replace dental advice?
Do you know the origin of your pain or discomfort ?
Does the site know your medical and dental history? (This is extremely important before a diagnosis can be made)
Does the site diagnose the problem?
How is it possible to give a diagnosis? (it’s not at all possible)
Many of these sites lead into product sales
Is the creator of this site even a dental professional?

The simple solution :
If you have any concerns regarding your oral health. Your OCD team is here to help you.
As we know a toothache or any pain or discomfort associated with your oral health is a problem. A dental checkup is the only way to find out what is really going on.

The internet is a wonderful tool for many resources. However ; diagnosing a dental issue is not one of them!

The old saying “better safe than sorry” is appropriate in this case !
